You will need:


  1. Lamb – 1 kg
  2. Spices – 1 cubes for the meat, 1/2 cube for the sauce
  3. Onion – 1 piece
  4. Garlic – 1 clove for both meat and sauce
  5. Oil – slash of oil for both the meat and the sauce
  6. Vinagre – slash for both the meat and the sauce
  7. Pepper – slash for both the meat and the sauce
  8. Salt – slash for both the meat and the sauce
  9. Dijon Mustard – 2 tablespoons for the meat, 1 tablespoon for the sauce
  10. Chili – 1/2 chili for the meat, 1/2 chili for the sauce

Start by cutting the lamb in pieces









Put the lamb in to a bowl and mix it with mustard, chili, vinegar, garlic, salt and pepper









While the meet is cooking, start preparing the onion sauce

Cut the onion







And the chili







Let soak for 2-3 hours

After that put in the oven or cook it on a barbecue ( The traditional Senegalese Diby is cooked over open fire)

Cook until well done. If the meat looks boiled, you can poor off the fat and put it on grill for couple of minutes







Mix it on a pan, add mustard, salt, pepper, vinegar and spices and let cook for 10 minutes on low heat
